Here’s a box-office report card for the films which have doomed at the ticket window in 2017 till now. While there were a few really big blockbusters like Bahubali 2: The Conclusion, mostly the year has been quite low in terms of box-office figures. Let's have a look at some of the biggest duds in the past 6 months:

Released on June 23, this Salman Khan film had huge expectations attached to it. Even though the Kabir Khan directorial managed to cross the Rs 100 crore mark, it was nowhere when it came to previous Salman Khan films. In 10 days, the film has managed a paltry Rs 110.7 crore, and is definitely way below expectations.

Released on June 16, this Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi film did terrific marketing of the film. However, all their efforts went down the drain once the comic caper released. The film didn't qualify for a good comedy film and neither was it good enough as a heist movie. It managed to do a lifetime business of Rs 8 crore, which was nowhere close to what was expected from a film coming from Yash Raj Films.

Released on June 9, this Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer set immense expectations from it after its larger than life promotions. Sushant and Kriti's real-life romance could also not ignite any fire at the ticket windows as fans decided to give this film a miss. Sadly, the film bombed, and managed just Rs 25.51 crore in its lifetime.

Released on May 12, this Amitabh Bachchan film couldn't create the grandeur that the previous two parts of the franchise did. Sarkar (2005) and Sarkar Raj (2008) had a far better story line and direction by Ram Gopal Varma, which wasn't there at all in this part. The film managed to earn just Rs 9.5 crore at the box-office.

Meri Pyaari Bindu (Ayushmann Khurrana & Parineeti Chopra)

Released on May 12, this Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra film couldn't live up to its big name. Parineeti and Ayushamann promoted the film at all junctures as it was a sort of a comeback for both. But all their hardest efforts couldn't manage to get the necessary footfall for this film. YRF's biggest release this year earned just a paltry Rs 14.23 crore at the box-office.

Noor (Sonakshi Sinha)

Released on April 21, this Sonakshi Sinha starrer was said to be her big ticket to showcase her talent in a solo film. But it fell flat on its face, as there were no takers for this journalistic drama. Poor direction and bad cinematography led to the film's downfall. Based on Pakistani author Saba Imtiaz's novel Karachi, You're Killing Me, Noor managed to earn just Rs 11.64 crore at the box-office.

Begum Jaan (Vidya Balan)

Released on April 14, this Vidya Balan film was a remake of the blockbuster Bengali film Rajkahini (2015). The film was a period drama, but the dark undertones weren't taken that well by the audiences here in Bollywood. As a result of which, we witnessed empty theatres for a Vidya Balan film. Even though her performance was hugely appreciated, the film could just earn Rs 20.68 crore.

Machine (Mustafa Burmawala & Kiara Advani)

Released on March 24, this Mustafa Burmawala and Kiara Advani starrer was the biggest dud of the year. Coming from director duo Abbas-Mustan, this film was the launch vehicle for Mustafa --- Abbas' son. Made at an expensive and grand scale, with loads of foreign locations and big budgeted cars, the film managed to earn just Rs 2.95 crore at the box-office.

Rangoon (Saif Ali Khan, Kangana Ranaut & Shahid Kapoor)

Released on February 24, this Saif Ali Khan, Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor film couldn't live up to expectations people had with the big names associated with it. Coming from director Vishal Bhardwaj, this film managed to get great critical acclaim, but couldn't get the masses into the theatres. The film managed to earn just Rs 41 crore at the box-office, which wasn't even half of how much it was made at.

Ok Jaanu (Aditya Roy Kapur & Shraddha Kapoor)

Released on January 13, this Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor starrer was the first release of the year. Naturally a lot was expected from it. But it failed miserably. Aditya and Shraddha were ex-lovers coming together after their break-up, but even this factor could not create much hype. The film killed the goodwill that the original Tamil film, O Kadhal Kanmani (2015), had earned for itself. Ok Jaanu managed just Rs 41.04 crore, which was nothing compared to other Dharma Productions' films this year.

With so many films not doing well at the box-office, will the next half manage to stand up and take control at the ticket windows? Well, we shall have to wait and watch for the same.
